He co-founded Hocoma AG and invented the Lokomat, a pioneering robotic rehabilitation system used worldwide. Today, he is Chairman of Zippsafe, an Innosuisse expert and advisor to innovative MedTech companies and startups. At Herencia, he brings his experience in translating science and technology into impactful healthcare solutions.

Peter is an economist and entrepreneur with a PhD from the University of Basel and over 25 years of experience in medtech, finance, and organizational growth. He co-founded Hocoma AG and served as CFO and Chairman of the Board, helping to build the company from a startup into the global leader in rehabilitation technology, including the establishment of several subsidiaries around the globe. Today, he is advisor for startups, serves on the boards of Piomic Medical, Congenius, and the ProSpecieRara Foundation, and is financial expert in the SEF. Growth program assessing the readiness of Swiss scale-ups for their next growth stage. At Herencia, he brings his international experience in finance, corporate governance, and scaling organizations to support the company’s development and growth.

Thiébaut brings nearly 20 years of experience in commercial strategy, market access, and reimbursement across pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and payer organizations in Europe and the United States. His career spans consulting, medical devices at Hocoma AG, and global market access at Merck & Co. He currently leads payer strategy for a pharmacy group purchasing organization. At Herencia, he advises the team on market access and commercial strategy. He holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School, a postgraduate qualification in Health Economics from ZHAW, and a degree in Philosophy and Literature from Sorbonne University in Paris.
